My experience was wonderful ~ I was reluctant to go initially, for fear of the treatments, doubt in its validity, and discomfort related to healthcare in general, especially from male providers. After three years of hoping and trying to get pregnant, months of infertility treatments, including drugs and hormones that made me feel awful, I was pregnant within three cycles after beginning acupuncture. In addition, this pregnancy was incredible! Super healthy and wonderful...and the delivery was awesome ~ drug-free and fantastic! When I first started acupuncture, I thought the needles would hurt. But they didn't. Ken was very open to what you had to say and very nice. I am thankful that my Mom did this for me. Ken had just finished his training and opened an office in my hometown. Two of my friends and I were among his first patients. If I hadn't known different I would have thought that he had been doing acupuncture for many years. I would tell him what I thought I needed to be treated for, but somehow, after talking with me for a short time and asking questions, he seemed to know exactly how I was feeling and what needed to be done for it. I was very excited when I learned that we had an acupuncturist in our small town. I was experiencing pain in my knees and hands due to arthritis. So I thought, why not give it a try. Ken reviewed all the medications I was taking to make sure there would be no interferences. He was very impressive with his knowledge of how the body operates. I knew immediately that he was truly concerned about my well being and not just for financial gain. If he thought you didn't need treatment, he would tell you.
